PERU: The best of Peru (8 days)

1st day: flight to Lima – Lima
Meeting at the airport, flight to Peru. Arrival to Lima. Meeting with the guide, transfer to the hotel. Welcome drink. Overnight in Lima.

2nd day: Lima
Breakfast at your hotel. Visiting colonial Lima (UNESCO World Heritage Site) founded by Francis Pizarro: Plaza de Armas, church of St. Francis, Government’s and Archbishop’s Palaces. Welcome lunch. A visit to “The Gold Museum” with collections of unique pottery, jewellery and textiles from pre-Inca cultures times. Overnight in Lima.

3rd day: Lima – Paracas – Ballestas Islands – Nazca
Early departure by bus to Paracas. Breakfast (box). Boat trip to Ballestas – islands known as the “Peruvian Galapagos” (photo safari with cormorants, vultures, penguins and sea lions). Transfer to Ica. Lunch. Transfer to Nazca by bus. Stop at the lookout tower – the first contact with the Nazca lines: figure of hand and tree. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation. Overnight in Nazca.

4th day: Nazca – Lima
Breakfast at your hotel. Optional flight over the lines on the Nazca Plateau (UNESCO World Heritage Site, cost: approx. 100 USD). Lunch. Drive to Lima. Overnight in Lima.

5th day: Lima – Cusco
Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Cusco. Full day city sightseeing of Cusco – the capital of the “State of the Sun” (Inca Empire) located in the Andes at an altitude of approximately 3.400 metres above sea level. Visiting The Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage Site): the Cathedral, the church of St. Francis and The Temple of the Sun – Cori-cancha. Visiting ruins from the times of the Incas: Sacsayhuaman, Kenco, Puca Pucara and Tambo Machaya. Dinner, overnight at Cuzco.

6th day: Cusco – Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo
That day in the morning you will leave you luggage at the hotel in Cuzco (pick up on the next day). Please take with you the things you need for one day in a separate bag. Breakfast at your hotel. Full day excursion to Machu Picchu (UNESCO World Heritage Site) – explore the ruins of the legendary Inca city picturesquely situated on the slopes overgrown with tropical vegetation. Machu Picchu was discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. Dinner, transfer to Ollantaytambo, overnight.

7th day: Ollantaytambo – Sacred Valley – Pisac – Cusco – Lima – flight back
Breakfast at your hotel. Visiting the fortress of Ollantaytambo. A trip to the Sacred Valley of Incas. We will drive beautiful route along the Urubamba River, watching ancient terraces , built by the Incas. A visit to The Indian market in Pisac. Return to Cusco. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Lima.

8th day: Flight back
Arrival to your destination.
