ARGENTINA, URUGUAY AND BRAZIL (16 days)

1^st day: flight to Buenos Aires

Meeting at the airport, departure to Buenos Aires.

2^nd day: Buenos Aires

Arrival in Buenos Aires. Transfer to the hotel. Walking tour of Argentina’s capital: we will see Cathedral, Presidential Palace, Christopher Columbus theatre, building of the Congress, the most beautiful squares and streets. Visit to La Boca – the famous harbour district founded by the first Italian emigrants where you can see people dancing tango on the streets. After that we will drive you to Recoleta Cemetery (famed as one of the most beautiful in the world, we will see grave of Evita Peron). Short walk in a Palermo district famous for stunning parks. In the evening optional “Tang Show” with dinner and wine. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

3^rd day: Buenos Aires – Colonia – Buenos Aires

Breakfast. We take a ferry to Colonia – Uruguay’s oldest city. During our tour we will see colonial architectural monuments (UNESCO World Heritage Site) – city walls, the basilica, the streets built by first Portuguese settlers. In the evening back to Buenos Aires. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

4^th day: Pampa

Breakfast. Excursion into the pampa located approximately 70 km from Buenos Aires. Admiring gauchos (equivalent of “cowboys”) riding horses, optional short horse ride and dinner with the cuisine typical for this region, with a local music. Back to Buenos Aires, overnight.

5^th day: Buenos Aires – Foz do Iguazu

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. We fly to Puerto Iguazu. After arrival we will see from Argentinean side Iguazu Waterfalls (UNESCO World Heritage Site), some of the largest and most beautiful in the world. Optionally trip to Ciudad del Este in Paraguay. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

6^th day: Foz do Iguazu

Breakfast. Transfer to Itaipu dam – one of the largest hydroelectric dams in the world. Admiring stunning views of the waterfalls on the Brazilian side of Iguazu river. Overnight.

7^th day: Foz do Iguazu – Salvador de Bahia

Breakfast. Flight to Salvador de Bahia, transfer to the hotel, walking tour in Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the city built by the Portuguese in the sixteenth and seventeenth century, following the architecture of Lisbon. Visiting the most interesting churches, including the cathedral and St. Francis church. Shopping at the handicraft market. Overnight.

8^th day: Salvador de Bahia

Breakfast. One day excursion to Itaparica – an island located at the entrance of Todos os Santos Bay on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Overnight in Salvador de Bahia.

9^th day: Salvador de Bahia – Rio de Janeiro – Paraty

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for flight to Rio de Janeiro. Transfer by bus to city of Paraty, rich in old colonial architecture. Free evening for exploring the town. Overnight in a traditional colonial style hotel called pousada.

10^th day: Paraty – Rio de Janeiro

Breakfast. Walking tour in the Old City of Paraty (UNESCO World Heritage Site), visiting the most important churches and other monuments of colonial architecture. In the afternoon drive to Rio de Janeiro. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro.

11^th day: Rio de Janeiro

Breakfast. One day city tour of Rio de Janeiro (UNESCO World Heritage Site). We will visit the famous viewpoint of Corcovado with the statue of Christ the Redeemer, botanical garden, Avenida Rio Branco, Sugarloaf and city centre with cathedral, the stadium Maracana and sambodrom – carnival starting place. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro.

12^th day: Rio de Janeiro

Breakfast. Free day for enjoying sun on Copacabana beach of Rio de Janeiro. Overnight in Rio de Janeiro.

13^th day: Rio de Janeiro – Buzios

Breakfast. Transfer to Buzios, famous Brazilian resort, related with Brigitte Bardot, Mick Jagger and Madonna. There are more than 20 beautiful places for sunbathing. Overnight in Buzios.

14^th day: Buzios

Breakfast. Free day for leisure on the famous beaches of Buzios. Overnight in Buzios.

15^th day: Buzios – Rio de Janeiro – flight back

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport in Rio de Janeiro. Departure to your destination.

16^th day: Flight back
